The Pinellas High School Media Group is proud to unveil its highly anticipated All-PHMG Preseason Football Team. This exclusive roster showcases the top talent from across Pinellas County, highlighting the exceptional athletes who are poised to make a significant impact on the upcoming season. Headlining the team is reigning PHMG Player of the Year, Jershaun Newton from Clearwater Central Catholic, who earns the prestigious honor of Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Newton’s dynamic playmaking ability and leadership have solidified his status as one of the county’s most formidable offensive weapons and this year will be no different as the University of Illinois commit has his team as a favorite to win the state championship.

Joining Newton in the spotlight is Tyrique Harris, also from Clearwater Central Catholic, who has been named the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Harris’s dominant performance on the defensive side of the ball has earned him widespread recognition as a game-changer. Clearwater Central Catholic, boasting an impressive eight players on the All-PHMG Preseason Team, solidifies its position as the top-ranked team in the county. This talented group of athletes is ready to make a statement and compete for a championship.

Defensive End Tyrique Harris brought 12.5 sacks and 83 tackles to an aleadry hungry Marauder defense. His stellar spring performance was noticed by recruiters as he saw multiple offers come in and will surely see more.
